We understand that living with a learning disability can make a number of daily tasks and situations more challenging for individuals and their families. At Priory Adult Care, we are always on hand to offer the support you need for the present and future. We believe that having a good life with positive outcomes can be a reality for everyone, regardless of their age or presumed ability.
We offer a wide range of specialist residential and community-based services for adults with a learning disability. This allows us to tailor our support to perfectly match individual’s needs and choices. Through unique person-centred plans, all our services promote life skills, enabling the people we support to live more independently and fulfil their goals and ambitions.
Our specialist learning disability services
Tailored, personalised support for people with learning disabilities, mostly in small, homely settings that allow our trained, friendly and dedicated staff to focus on providing the right amount of support in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Respite and day services
Specialist services which offer bespoke support and enablement for individuals who, in addition to their learning disability, have additional support needs associated with autism, challenging behaviour, complex health needs or additional disabilities.
Innovative support, focussed on supporting people to be as independent as possible within their own homes and in the local community. We support and encourage individuals with household tasks, going shopping and managing money, as well as accessing local facilities like leisure centres and libraries, and fulfilling their education or employment wishes.
Our approach to support
Our specialist staff teams are highly trained and experienced in supporting adults with a learning disability. They are determined on doing everything they possibly can to improve people’s health and wellbeing, and are focussed on achieving positive outcomes.
At Priory Adult Care, we offer an holistic approach to support with each of our services being further supported by a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support specialist and other professionals including GP’s, medical professionals, speech and language therapy teams, dieticians, social workers, chiropodists, opticians, community psychiatric nurses and other specialist roles. By having these close working partnerships in place, each individual receives the required support to meet all of their needs.
