A care home in Wimbledon, Arthur House, has won Carehome.co.uk’s 2017 Top 20 Recommended Care Home in London award for a second year running.
The Carehome.co.uk awards are determined by the rankings they receive from online reviewers, who are either relatives or friends of residents who live at the home. Arthur House currently has an average review score of 9.7 of out 10.
A reviewer recently wrote on the Carehome website, “The staff at Arthur House are always friendly and helpful… They have won a lot of awards and genuinely care from the hearts. I've been coming here to visit a great uncle of 90 years old for about three years now. I've always found staff and management to be conscientious and considerate.”
Another reviewer said, “My mother-in-law has lived at Arthur House for almost two years and has always been happy there. It is well managed and the staff are attentive and caring. They are concerned with each individual resident's needs and are always keen to encourage their own interests.”
Arthur House’s Activity Coordinator, Mussarat Nazir, was also recently a finalist in the Great British Care Awards 2017. She also won the London regional category of the same awards in 2016.
Arthur House is managed by Priory Adult Care, a new division within the renowned Priory Group which was formed in April from bringing together two Priory adult care divisions, Craegmoor and Amore Care. The home supports people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It is located in Wimbledon, South-west London.
Nicholas Kee Mew, Registered Manager, said: “I am delighted that we have won this award for the second year running. My team work tremendously hard and I would like to dedicate it to them.”
James Willis, CEO of Priory Adult Care, said: “I am proud to see that this great home has made the headlines yet again. My colleagues at Arthur House always go above and beyond the call of duty, and therefore I am so proud that they have yet another award to add to their collection.”
