Levitt Mill care home for adults with autism and learning disabilities has been rated as 'good' overall, and in all assessment areas, for the quality of care it provides.
In the report from the independent health and social care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), inspectors said they "observed positive interactions with people and staff, talking and laughing together". A relative of a resident told inspectors that "staff were excellent, kind and considerate".
Another relative said residents were "very happy and safe, I am very, very pleased with the care they receive". A resident told inspectors, "I am happy, happy, happy", and repeated, "I mean it I am happy, happy, happy, here".
Residents are supported by staff to organise activities they enjoy doing, and to go on holiday. They are positively encouraged to personalise their bedrooms, including by choosing their own furniture and decorating the walls with photographs.
Gail Linacre, Registered Manager at Levitt Mill, said, "I am thrilled with this inspection. Levitt Mill is such a happy place to live, and it is brilliant to see that our residents continue to enjoy their time with us."
