Priory Supported Living South Yorkshire, which operates in the Rotherham area of South Yorkshire, has been praised by independent inspectors for the service it provides for those with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
In its latest report, the Care Quality Commission praised Priory Supported Living South Yorkshire for "achieving positive outcomes", "staff who help establish positive relationships" and supporting people to develop further independence. The service was rated 'good' across the board by the CQC.
In response to its most recent inspection, the CQC said, "people were happy with the support they received", and "relationships between people and the staff members were friendly and informal". A service user's relative told the inspectors: "The support given by the support worker is outstanding. We, as a family, trust the member of staff to support them."
The CQC said, "We heard about positive outcomes for the people who used the service."
The inspectors praised the fact that work was done to help those with specific needs to communicate in a way that was best suited to them. Priory Supported Living South Yorkshire matches service users with support workers who have similar personalities and interests.
