The Priory Group has announced that it has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating its commitment to supporting veterans, reservists and their families currently in employment - and to encourage those who serve, or have served, to join the Priory Group team.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge that aims to ensure all members of the Armed Forces community, past or present, are treated with respect and fairness by the communities, businesses, and people they courageously volunteered to serve.
Discounted placements available to the Armed Forces community
Following the signing of the covenant, Priory Adult Care are delighted to offer discounted rates on privately funded placements into their older people’s care homes to Armed Forces veterans, and their immediate families - partner/spouse.
Priory Adult Care is part of the Priory Group and provides over 230 care homes and supported living services across the UK for older people who require residential, nursing and dementia care in later life, as well as adults with a range of needs. These include a learning disability, autism, brain injuries, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) or mental health needs.
We offer the highest standards of person-centred care within safe and homely environments. Our aim is to help everyone we support to lead fulfilled lives and where possible, achieve positive outcomes regardless of age or presumed ability.
Update
Priory are delighted to have received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers for defence personnel who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families.

A 5% discount will be applied to privately funded placements

Discounted rates are available to veterans and their immediate family - partner/spouse

Family members will need to provide proof of the relationship with the veteran, along with the veteran’s proof of ID

The discount will be off the quoted fee which has to be at a minimum weekly rate of £850, excluding Funded Nursing Care (FNC) to receive the 5% discount

Prices may vary depending on location and service, and the discount will be applied at the site chosen

The discount is only available for placements made from Thursday 3rd September 2020 onwards and is not applicable to local authority referrals, only fully privately funded placements (100% private and not including top ups etc)
