Priory Adult Care staff team members have received national recognition for excellence in behaviour management training

Nina Holyer and Mark Humphreys are winners of two of the three Loddon Training and Consultancy Annual PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Awards for 2020.

PROACT-SCIPr-UK® consists of positive approaches to behaviour management, which encourage the use of proactive responses. Priory Adult Care is a training centre for PROACT-SCIPr-UK®, affiliated with Loddon Training and Consultancy, who are the licensing body. Nominations for the awards came from affiliated organisations across the UK.

Nina Holyer who is PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Lead at Priory Adult Care, won the Marion Cornick Award for Innovative Practice for her development of new learning resources. These included a training workbook that has enabled colleague learning to continue during the Covid-19 pandemic, when face-to-face training has not always been possible.

Mark Humphreys is PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Principal Instructor for the North at Priory Adult Care and won Instructor of the Year. This followed observations of his practice carried out by Loddon Training and Consultancy earlier in the year.

Chief Operating Officer for Priory Adult Care, Rebekah Cresswell said: "We are really proud that two of this year’s three awards have been won by team members in Priory Adult Care. Nina and Mark’s commitment and innovation during these challenging times has meant that colleagues across the UK can continue to deliver highest standards of care.
