Various staff members from across Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care) homes in Northern Ireland attended the recent Northern Ireland Independent Care Awards, where both the Registered Manager of the Year and Registered Nurse of the Year awards were taken away by Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care) staff.
John Rafferty, Care Home Manager at Bannview House Care Home won the Registered Manager of the Year award and Dawn Rhodie from Apple Mews Care Home won the Registered Nurse of the Year award. There were also several other members of staff from Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care) who were finalists in categories such as Provider of the Year and Support Staff of the Year.
Adrian Pancott, Chief Executive at Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care), stated: “We are a relatively small operator in Northern Ireland, however we won both the Registered Manager of the Year and Registered Nurse of the Year categories. When this is combined with the fact that we have finalists in various other award categories, it really is remarkable.”
There are several staff members who are through to the final phases in the National Dementia Awards, National Care Awards and The Great British Care Awards.
Dementia Lead, Steve Amos, recently received ‘Highly Commended’ at the National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards. The award was presented to Steve Amos and the Creative Minds team by Norman Lamb, Minister of State at the Department of Health, for Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care) outstanding dementia services.
