Fitzwilliam Lodge has been rated "good" in all assessment areas following its recent inspection by the independent care watchdog.

In its latest report, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) praised the home for its caring and compassionate staff and "individualised approach to people's needs".

One resident told inspectors, "I like living here I am happy", and another said "staff help me when I need help." The CQC said that there were 'positive interactions between people and staff... staff were caring and compassionate". Staff spoke to residents with "understanding, warmth and respect".

The CQC said staff were "knowledgeable" and that "the individualised approach to people's needs meant that staff provided flexible and responsive care."

Fitzwilliam Lodge is located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and home provides support for individuals who have learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
