On the 5th March Cooper House were joined by the Lady Mayoress and Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford, local councillor Lynda Cromie, players from the Rugby team Bradford Bulls and local press along with residents and relatives to open Café Amore.
Café Amore is open to all residents and relatives as well as members of the local community and offers support for people with conditions, including Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Cooper House Care Home, Cooper Lane plans to hold various support groups for the local community in the near future.
The café, run by a team of volunteers, will open between 10am and 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
Local councillor, Lynda Cromie said she was very impressed with the idea and it will connect Cooper House with the local community and Cooper House is more like a 5* hotel than a care home.
