White House care home for adults with learning disabilities and autism, run by Priory Adult Care (formerly Craegmoor), has been praised by care home inspectors for the kind and compassionate way it looks after residents.
The Care Quality Commission said the home was a safe, caring and supportive environment where staff supported the residents, and treated them with dignity and respect.
Inspectors said: ‘People who live at the home and the staff had positive relationships and were treated with respect and kindness’. They added that residents’ ‘needs were met and they were happy with the support they received’.
Inspectors also said that ‘the positive relationships were reflected in the way staff and residents spoke to each other the relaxed atmosphere in the home’.
Residents of the home are actively encouraged to pursue their interests and take part in dance and music sessions as well as swimming, horse riding, bowling and trips to the cinema. Residents are encouraged to help plan the meals for the week and will assist with shopping and preparing the food.
White House, located on Shaftsbury Avenue in Feltham, is a home which provides support to adults with autism and learning disabilities. The home promotes independent living, encouraging residents to take an active role in both the home and the local community.
