The Mayor Cllr David Higgs and Mayoress Mrs Angela Higgs joined residents, staff, family and friends at a garden party to help Abbey Court Care Home in Bourne celebrate its 3rd birthday.
Events enjoyed by guests included owls from Baytree Owl Centre, pet therapy dogs, tombola, apple bobbing, wet sponge throwing and stalls selling cakes, jewellery, cards and Body Shop toiletries.
Abbey Court, part of Amore Care, is a purpose built care home situated in Bourne, North of Peterborough that has been designed for older people requiring residential and nursing care. It was officially opened in 2010 by Councillor Sue Woolley.
Sandra Upton, manager at Abbey Court said: “Everyone had a wonderful day and we are so grateful that the Mayor and Mayoress gave up their time to join us.
"We’d also like to thanks all the people who attended and to those who brought along their birds and animals to entertain guests.
“Abbey Court has been part of the local community and providing high quality care for local people for three years and it was fun to celebrate our anniversary.”
