Priory Adult Care's (formerly Amore Care) Addison Court care home in Accrington has been recognised for the quality of its care following a number of award nominations.
The home received two nominations in the Great North West Care Awards. The whole team was runner up in the Care Team category and Activity Coordinator Lesley Quigley triumphed in the Care Home Activity Organiser Award.
The judges declared that "Lesley has an enthusiastic personality and an abundance of original activity ideas based on spontaneity and person centred care. An outstanding candidate who deserves this award!"
The Great North West Care Awards, supported by the Department of Health, are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of regional awards which celebrate excellence in social care and pay tribute to those who work in the sector throughout England. The awards are all inclusive, bringing together the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers; promoting joint working.
Addison Court’s housekeeper Lee-Ann Aldren has received a nomination in the National Care awards. The home is eagerly anticipating the results to be announced at a Gala Dinner in London on November 29th.
Addison Court home manager Anne-Marie Potter said: “I am very proud of the whole team at Addison Court. Priory Adult Care (formerly Amore Care) has made a big investment in the environment of the home with a major refurbishment and I’m delighted that the quality of care has been recognised with three award nominations.
“The recognition is testament to the hard work of the whole team.”
