Weir End House is a Georgian manor house, with an extension of three flats. The property is set in lovely, large grounds, with a walled vegetable garden, greenhouses and a woodland area, which is home to a donkey and chickens.
In our main house we have space for 10 people, and we can also support three people in the adjoining flats.
A range of activities
Individuals at Weir End House are never short of activities to get involved with, whether this is within the house or out of the service. Some people we support access college classes to develop skills, whereas others seek employment or voluntary positions. These opportunities are based on the goals and aspirations outlined on each person’s Person Centred Plan, something that individuals are encouraged to play a big part in creating.
Weir End House is in an enviable location, so people staying with us take advantage of this by going for scenic walks by the riverside. We are based in Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire, giving individuals access to a snooker club, a library, a heritage centre and many restaurants and pubs. There are local supermarkets, weekly markets and monthly farmers markets. There are good bus links to the surrounding areas, such as the Forest of Dean.
