The Old Rectory, Brede supports adults with learning disabilities, who may also have an attached diagnosis such as autism, diabetes, Down's Syndrome or epilepsy. We promote independence, equality, dignity and respect and as a team we are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone.

Our approach to care

At The Old Rectory, Brede, all staff receive training in communication to suit the varying needs of each individual. Our staffing ratio is dependent on individual needs and 1:1 support is available where necessary. We provide 24 hour support and there is an on-call system for use in emergency situations.

Everyone is involved in designing their own person-centred plan, with staff support. The plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. They also enable all individuals to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support everyone at The Old Rectory, Brede to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and decide how they would like to go about achieving them.

We empower those living here to take ownership of their person-centred plans and their home. In "Your Voice" meetings, individuals can provide their feedback, and are able to represent the views and voices of others living at The Old Rectory, Brede.
