Situated in Poole, The Dunes is a specialist service for people with learning disabilities. Our service has been specially designed for individuals with complex needs, and our team is always on hand to ensure that each and every need is met.

Our approach to support

We are committed to providing just enough support to empower and encourage all individuals utilising our services to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible. By using Person Centred Plans, we help people to work towards a level of independence which fits with their skills, confidence and aspirations.

We encourage the people we support at The Dunes to personalise their rooms to their own taste as well as to take an active role in the running of the home. They are also able to put forward their own ideas about service through the “Your Voice” feedback programme.
