Shottsford House

Located in Blandford Forum, Dorset, Shottsford House is a specialist 24 hour residential service for up to 10 adults.

The accommodation at Shottsford House includes six individual rooms for people with a learning disability who are working towards living independently in the community, as well as four separate rooms for those who may require a supported step up intervention from their current community setting.

Our specialist services

Shottsford House provides an integrated treatment approach with the person’s care team, which supports individuals with mild learning difficulties and challenging behaviours to successfully move out of hospital settings as a first step to living more independently in the community.

The service also provides a small focussed four bedded flat that allows for more intensive support around stepping up from community placements. This is based on short term stays to help the individual focus on the issues that are affecting them in their current placement. Our aim is to support them on going back to their community placement and/or find someplace else that would be able to meet their needs.
