Sapphire House

Introducing Sapphire House

Sapphire House provides support for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex needs.

The service offers 24/7 specialist residential support and is committed to empowering and encouraging individuals to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible. Together we will work towards building independent skills, confidence and aspirations to meet their potential.

Sapphire House is situated in Maidstone, a short walk from the town centre and a wide choice of amenities.

Our services

  • Specialist support for people with autism, learning disabilities, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and mental health needs

  • Delivering positive behaviour support (PBS) for people who may present with behaviours that challenge

  • Accommodation comprising of 3 en-suite bedrooms, 4 bedsits and self-contained flats, each with a lounge/ kitchen and en-suite shower facilities

  • Rated ‘Good’ in all compliance areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

  • Close links with local multidisciplinary teams, speech and language therapists, sensory therapists and mental health teams, including psychology support

  • Innovative person centred support programmes in a safe and caring environment

  • Support for individuals to access education and employment opportunities

  • Progression through a care pathway that fulfils each individual’s maximum potential to live more independently

  • Therapeutic environments to create a safe and supportive home

  • 3 vehicles available which enables easy access to a range of planned off-site activities, including visits to the snooker hall, tennis club, cinema and football matches

Admissions and referrals

At Priory Adult Care, we can offer advice about accessing benefits and funding if appropriate.

We support people on how best to spend an individual budget or direct payment to make sure the people we support can live the life they want.

Referrals can be made through:

  • The individual’s social services department management team or, if relevant, their local health authority

  • By the individual (or an appropriate adult acting on their behalf) who wishes to use direct payment, individual budget, or who is self-financing.
