Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Riddrie House has their own person-centred care plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals involved in their care.
We aim to help everyone in our care to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as going out in the community, personal care, shopping, cooking and cleaning, maintaining family relationships, environmental maintenance and budgeting.
In addition, we use tools such as the Outcomes Star™, including the Recovery Star and Life Star, to support our residents to achieve their goals. The lengths of the placements that we offer at Riddrie House can be transitional, medium or long-term residential, depending on the needs of each person.
Our team
Our highly experienced, multidisciplinary team consists of:

Our team receive specialist staff training, designed to meet the needs of each individual we support. This includes epilepsy training, diabetes management training, trauma-informed practice training, and mental health awareness training.
We also have support from a local multidisciplinary team, including a positive behaviour support (PBS) practitioner who visits the service. We also have regular reviews from a speech and language therapist, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.
“I feel so much more happy here. The staff really help me and I can do a lot more than I used to be able to such as shopping and cooking my own food.”
