Our approach to support
There is 24 hour nursing staff and a well-qualified staff team at Riddrie House to support residents towards rehabilitation and recovery. Multidisciplinary services, including psychiatrists, psychologists and primary care services are accessed within the local area as required.
Residents are encouraged to utilise community facilities and to participate in local groups where applicable. In-house, the rehabilitation facilities give residents opportunities to improve or maintain activities of daily living such as shopping, budgeting and cooking.
Prior to admission there are planned visits, gradually building up to overnight stays, which gives opportunity to meet other residents and to join in with activities going on, and helps prospective residents make an informed choice about whether they wish to live at Riddrie House.
“I feel so much more happy here. The staff really help me and I can do a lot more than I used to be able to such as shopping and cooking my own food.”
