Everyone is given the opportunity to exercise their choice and become involved in a wide range of activities including accessing local day centres and work placements within the community. Some of the individuals living at Primrose Villa also access the local colleges in and around the Bristol area learning new skills such as languages, drama, art, everyday living skills and cooking.
Everyone has their own individual daily timetable. There are many in-house activities on offer including art and craft sessions, gardening, cooking, board games, puzzles, darts and table tennis.
Individuals are also encouraged and supported where required to take part in and attend regular social events as well as visiting local pubs and local leisure facilities including swimming, bingo, the cinema and theatre on a regular basis. People are encouraged to pursue and retain their own interests. One-to-one support is provided where required and all activities are arranged to meet their individual needs.
Primrose Villa is only a few minutes’ walk from the local shops, pubs, post office and doctors’ surgery. There is also a bus route outside the home that links with Bristol's busy city centre, museums and Temple Meads train station.
Primrose Villa is a large semi-detached Victorian house which overlooks Eastville Park with its beautiful lake and riverside walks.
