Potton House Care Home
Potton House is designed for older people with dementia. The home provides a specialist nursing service for individuals with a diagnosis of mid- to late-stage dementia, working in conjunction with Central Bedfordshire PCT and Local Authorities.

Situated in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, the home offers a supportive environment with en-suite bedrooms and comfortable lounge areas. Our dedicated team ensures we meet the resident’s individual care and social needs.
The friendly and welcoming decor helps residents feel at home and there is a tranquil, fully enclosed garden, which offers our residents a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat.
The home also benefits from excellent transport links to the M1 (close to junctions 12 and 13) and the train line into London is accessible from Flitwick just two miles away.
Our dedicated team ensure we meet the resident’s individual care and social needs. There is an open door visiting policy and families and friends are always welcome.Introducing our Dementia Plus service
At Potton House, we also offer a Dementia Plus service to further support individuals with behaviours that challenge, who may need close monitoring with their complex dementia and associated mental health needs. Each member of our team completes the accredited ‘Creative Minds’ dementia training course, run by our Priory Dementia Coach.
Living at Potton House
Care and support is provided at Potton House in a manner that offers privacy, respect and dignity. Individuals are able to exercise maximum choice on matters relating to their daily lives. Qualified nurses are on duty 24 hours a day and are able to cascade knowledge and experience to the team members.
The services and facilities available include:

- An experienced chef catering for all medical diets and personal preferences
- Dedicated activities co-ordinator experienced in working with older people
- A hairdresser who visits the home every week
- Specialised handling and bathing equipment for those who need it
- Nearby shops and cafés which residents like to visit
- Minibus available for resident use
Our activities co-ordinator tailors the activities on a daily basis to meet the needs of our residents. All are encouraged to share their life stories to create memory boxes and enhance person-centred care and support.
Residents can also go on our regular trips to places such as shops, garden centres, the local park and further afield.
