Located in Lydd, within the Kent countryside and a rural setting, Peacock House is a specialist residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, PICA and complex needs.
We deliver positive behaviour support (PBS) and offer individuals with the opportunities to develop and enhance new and existing skills that they will need throughout their lives in order to live more independently. We believe in positive outcomes for everyone and our members of staff strive to make these happen.
Our approach to support
The staff team at Peacock House are dedicated and committed to ensuring the needs of the people we support are continuously met 24/7. There are always staff in the service to support individuals, and they can provide 1:1 support where necessary. We are supported by a multidisciplinary team where needed, including a district nurse, physiotherapists, chiropodists and aromatherapists.
People being supported at Peacock House each have a person-centred plan which is developed in consultation with the individual, their family and a key worker. These plans exist to outline the level of support needed, as well as identifying targets, goals and aspirations for the future and the steps that are needed to achieve these.
Introducing our self-contained flats for adults with complex needs
Across Peacock House and our other site called Fieldside View in Lydd, we have self-contained flats which are ideal for adults who may not be quite ready for supported living and like to have the surrounding of a residential setting, where staff are available 24/7. Please find below a recent video showcasing one of the flats.
