Notts Hill House

Situated in a quiet area of Torquay, Notts Hill House (formerly known as Rosehill) provides person-centred support for up to 16 adults with an acquired brain injury (ABI) physical disabilities and/or mild learning disabilities in a homely environment.

We operate a professional service including access to physiotherapy and occupational therapy. The people that we support are assessed prior to admission and placements are offered with outcome-led goals in mind.

Support plans and goals are reviewed regularly to reflect the individual’s progress throughout their stay. The support provided by Notts Hill House is also tailored to the individual’s needs, wishes and aspirations, with a focus on developing the skills and confidence to live a safe, independent and fulfilling life.

Living at Notts Hill House

Whilst the home still retains many of its Victorian features, it has undergone adaptations to provide specialist support for those with physical disabilities. This includes overhead hoists, a lift to access all floors and an Arjo accessible hydro-spa bath. Our residents at Notts Hill House have the optional use of their own kitchen, where we encourage the development of independent living skills. There is also a commercial kitchen which caters for all individual tastes and dietary requirements.

On the top floor of the property, there is a gymnasium where residents can maintain fitness and physical wellbeing, with the option of working with our physiotherapist to increase their functional skills. Notts Hill House also benefits from a large picturesque garden with wheelchair accessible decking for residents wishing to make use of the outdoor space.
