Marshlands consists of 16 single rooms and two independent living flats. This is ideal for those who may not be quite ready for supported living and like to have the surrounding of a residential setting where staff are available 24/7. People are supported and encouraged to decorate their bedrooms to create a more personal touch.
Marshlands is surrounded by a large spacious garden with a horticulture area, patio area and a number of seating areas.
A range of activities
We offer a wide range of activities and we provide regular opportunities to access local tourist attractions. Some of the activities include: watching Lydd Town play football, going for walks along the beach, cycling and fishing. Within the house, individuals are encouraged to help with the cooking, domestic activities and gardening.
Some of the people living here enjoy going horse riding and attending activities at the Romney Marsh Vocational Centre such as arts and crafts, bingo, discos, karaoke, country and western dancing, dance and movement, literacy and sports sessions. We often go shopping in the local town or visit the local pub.
There is a selection of shops and facilities in the local town and a wider range of shops in the neighbouring town only a short bus ride away. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and are close to the sea.
