Maple House
Maple House provides 24 hour support for six adults with learning disabilities, autism and/or challenging behaviour. We are passionate about providing a safe and homely environment, where all individuals can make their own choices about the support they receive. Maple House is a transitional site that has all males, the age limit is 30–55.
As a team, we do everything that we can to improve the health and wellbeing of the individuals we support. We are focused on building positive outcomes for everyone so people can go on to lead lives that are as independent as possible.
Our approach to support
At Maple House, all individuals are involved in designing their own Person Centred Plan, created with the support of staff. These plans are tailored to suit individual needs and provide the correct level of support required. We provide everything from basic assistance to 1:1 support when necessary. Person Centred Plans enable all individuals to make their own choices about the support they receive. We encourage and support those at Maple House to recognise and identify their goals and ambitions and how they would like to go about meeting them.
Maple House promotes Priory Adult Care’s communication strategy "Your Voice", which encourages individuals, based on their preferred method of communication, to voice their views about the support they receive. Monthly meetings are held where individuals are able to represent the views and voices of others living at the service.
"I like the staff here and they help me to do nice things. I go out every morning with staff to buy my paper."
