Fairhome is a beautiful Victorian red brick home with the accommodation comprising of 23 individual bedrooms, five bathrooms, large communal space's and grounds.
The surrounding garden offers an opportunity for residents to take part in therapeutic gardening maintenance called 'real work' which role holders do several times a week. The service has a new rehabilitation kitchen in place and a new rehabilitation room. The home has also gone through a major refurbishment over the past 18 months.
We encourage residents to visit prior to admission to meet the other people living at Fairhome and stay overnight.
A wide range of activities
The home is a five minute walk to Wrexham town centre which features a wide range of amenities for residents to use including the local swimming pool and arts and crafts at the nearby community centre which gives the best possible chance of rehabilitation.
Some residents are able to undertake activities on their own but most will do this as part of an escorted group. Staff also arrange annual holiday trips to places such as Blackpool, outings to the Welsh coastline and to the mountains.
Work placements paid and voluntary are also organised and facilitated if needed by the staff in Fairhome.
