Combs Court provides assessment and support for adults living with a primary learning disability diagnosis but may present complex conditions and mild to moderate challenging behaviours. The home is comprised of three separate homes, two single apartments with a communal area, and four individual bungalows. There is ground floor accommodation and adapted equipment as required by individual needs.
Our approach to support
At Combs Court, we provide 24/7 specialist residential support, and the individuals we assist are involved in making decisions about how their service is provided through their support networks. Feedback can also be given by each individual by through meetings and also through Priory Adult Care’s “Our Voice” feedback initiative.
Some of our service users also have communication difficulties, as well as a range of other disabilities such as epilepsy or Down’s Syndrome, in addition to their learning disability. We provide innovative person centred support programmes in a safe and caring environment, allowing individuals to progress through a care pathway that fulfils each individual’s maximum potential to live more independently.
A number of residents at Combs Court have dedicated 1:1 packages to enable them to undertake specific activities.
“I like living here. The staff help me when I need it but they know that I like to do things for myself if I can.”
