Brunswick Mews

Located in Wednesbury, West Midlands, Brunswick Mews provides self-contained flats within a specialist residential care home for adults with a range of complex needs.

The self-contained flats are specifically designed for individuals who are not fully ready to move into a supported living environment. The new service supports three adults with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities and mental health needs.

Our flats provide an ideal pathway to help ensure that the people we support progress to a less restrictive environment, equipped with the skills required to live as independently as possible.

The accommodation is also ideal for:

• Individuals whose placements may be breaking down in the community, as they can live for a period of time in an environment where they will not lose their daily living skills
• Individuals stepping down from a hospital setting or moving from family homes to increase independence into adult life, and developing essential life skills to live and thrive within the community and further afield

• Support with communication needs
• Social functions for residents, their families and friends

Spacious self-contained flats

Brunswick Mews provides three spacious self-contained flats in a residential/community setting. The flats include:

• En-suite bedrooms
• Activities of daily living (ADL) kitchens, designed to promote independence whilst maintaining safety
• Access to a secure garden

Our multidisciplinary team

Our team consists of:

• A positive behaviour support (PBS) practitioner
• Key workers
• Recovery workers/support workers

Therapeutic activities

Support at Brunswick Mews focuses on building our residents’ independence and can include the following therapeutic activities:

• Cooking skills development
• Individual budgeting plans
• Personal and environmental care support
• Vocational skills development
• Arts and crafts
• Social activities
• Access to local sports activities and colleges/ educational facilities
• Fitness sessions
