Bannister Farm Cottage has two vehicles on site which can support people to access the community activities. There are also public transport stops 500 meters from site which will take you to Preston, Chorley and Leyland.
The people living at Bannister Farm Cottage participate in a number of activities on a daily basis away from our location, such as bowling, swimming, cycling, equestrian work, sensory sessions and shopping. Everyone participates in independent living skills and educational work which is broken down in to three to four sessions per day, for short periods of time.
Our aim is to support and teach the skills to support everyone at Bannister Farm Cottage to live an independent, fulfilling and meaningful life.
Bannister Farm Cottage is a five-bed specialist residential service, providing support for people with autism. It is separated into three parts: the main house, which consists of two upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs bedroom, all en-suite; the large communal kitchen and dining room, where people can eat and carry out independent activities, and the two lounge areas - one upstairs and one downstairs, so that people have a quiet place to relax and do their independent work or have meetings.
There is a large garden to the rear of the property which is divided into two areas - a large lawn area which is popular during the warmer months and a patio area.
