Avondale Care Home
The Avondale care home (formerly part of Amore Care) is situated in a residential area of Motherwell, approximately ½ mile from Strathclyde Country Park. We are on the main bus route, and are 1 mile from the nearest train station. Both Motherwell and nearby Hamilton have shopping centres.
Care and support is provided in a manner that offers privacy, respect and dignity. Individuals are able to exercise maximum choice on matters relating to their daily lives.
Qualified nurses are on duty 24 hours a day and are able to cascade knowledge and experience to the team members. Each person has a comprehensive care package tailored to meet their individual needs, a named nurse and a key worker.
Avondale provides residents with extensive communal space and comfortable lounge areas that are furnished to a high standard. The home has been designed to ensure comfort and safety of the residents.
The friendly and welcoming decor helps residents feel at home, whilst the tranquil, fully-enclosed garden, offers our residents a relaxing atmosphere and a quiet retreat.

Our activities co-ordinator tailors the activities on a daily basis to meet the needs of our residents. Residents participate in creating a life story book to enhance person-centred care and support.
Residents can also go on our regular trips to places such as local shops, garden centres, the local park and further afield.
