Those living at Ardsley House can get involved in a range of activities both on and off site. Wakefield is home to many shops, restaurants and leisure outlets where individuals can enjoy trips out as a group or on a one-to-one basis.
The people we support are also able to access education and paid employment opportunities, as well as getting involved with voluntary positions that are available in the local area.
There are helpful transport links nearby, meaning individuals can utilise bus and train services to reach destinations in the neighbourhood or slightly further afield.
Ardsley House is based in East Ardsley, Wakefield, and is able to provide specialist support for 13 people with learning disabilities. Four bedrooms have en-suite facilities.
Our service offers people the chance to live in a safe and caring environment, where they can progress through a care pathway that fulfils their maximum potential to live more independently. We have access to a range of services and facilities including one-to-one psychological support where needed, and a multidisciplinary staff team.
